A Conversation on Amor (Guanda) by Manuel Vilas, that interweaves the levels of subjectivity and universality, of great history and biographical facts, of nostalgia and memory, of narration and reflection. A journey through which life itself is the protagonist of a path of joys and sorrows, where space and time lead us to look inside ourselves, recognising ourselves as equal and different.
A poet and storyteller, he collaborates regularly with various newspapers.
He has published collections of poetry and novels. In tutto c’è stata bellezza (Guanda), translated into fourteen languages, was the first book published in Italy. El País and El Mundo elected it best book of 2018. With his new novel, La gioia all’improvviso, Manuel Vilas was a finalist in the 2019 Planeta Prize.
