Annalisa Strada (Brescia, 1969) lives and works near Brescia. She started writing children's books after a long period of editorial services and she currently works alongside the teaching of letters in the first level secondary school. She won numerous prizes and awards, including the Andersen Prize with Una sottile linea rosa and the Giant Prize of the Langhe with Fino all’ultima mosca. Edizioni EL / Einaudi Ragazzi published her L’isola dei libri perduti, Perbacco! Che bello!, Galileo Galilei, esploratore del cielo and Io, Emanuela – Agente della scorta di Paolo Borsellino, winner of the Children's Literature Award of the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Cento and the Selezione Bancarellino Award.
